Float Switch
The simplest level sensor there is — a float that switches at a set level.
A float that rises and falls with the water and switches a contact at a set level, wired straight to the controller — nothing to calibrate and nothing to set up.
| Method | Mechanical float |
|---|---|
| Connection | Wired to the controller |
| Reports | Whether the water is above or below the switch level |
Simple on purpose
A float rides on the water and switches a contact when the level passes it. Wired to the controller, that one signal is enough to start a pump, stop it, or raise an alarm — the even simpler cousin of the conductivity probe.
