What is a smart water level controller and do I need one?

A water level controller watches your tank’s water level and switches the pump automatically — on when the tank is low, off the moment it’s full, and off immediately if the source runs dry. If anyone in your home currently switches a pump manually, you’ll feel the difference in a week: no overflows, no dry runs, no remembering. The smart (IoT) versions also show live levels and history on your phone through the Devyami platform.

Do Devyami devices need Wi-Fi to work?

No. Every controller performs its core job — level automation, motor protection — completely offline. Wi-Fi adds the connected layer: live monitoring, alerts, history and remote control from your phone. If your internet goes down, your water system keeps running exactly as configured; you just lose the window into it until the connection returns.

What is the range of your wireless level sensors?

It depends on what stands between the tank and the controller — concrete slabs and metal tanks reduce radio range substantially compared to open air. Rather than quote an open-field number that won’t match your building, our dealers test the actual link during the site visit before recommending wireless. Where the path is genuinely hostile, we’ll say so and suggest a wired sensor instead.

Buying & Installation

How do I buy Devyami products?

Through our dealer network. Send an enquiry from any page on this site and we’ll route it to the dealer nearest you, who quotes, installs, commissions and services your system locally. We deliberately don’t ship boxes to end customers — a water system that isn’t installed and commissioned properly wastes the engineering that went into it.

How long does installation take?

A typical level-controller installation in a home takes a couple of hours; wireless retrofits are usually same-day. Larger systems — multi-pump sets, treatment plants, pool plant rooms — are planned as small projects with a site visit first. Your dealer gives you a specific timeline with the quote.

What warranty do Devyami products carry?

Warranty periods are listed on each product’s page and datasheet. Because we design and manufacture our automation range ourselves, warranty service comes with manufacturer depth: your dealer handles it locally, with our engineering team behind them — and some issues on connected devices are fixed remotely via over-the-air updates without a visit at all.

Platform & Service

What is the Devyami platform?

It’s the IoT system our connected products report to — and the portal at water.devyami.com where you see them. Customers get live tank levels, pump status, alerts and service tickets; dealers run their whole business on it, from quotes to AMC contracts. Every enquiry from this website flows into the same system, which is why nothing falls through the cracks.

What happens when something goes wrong after the sale?

Raise a ticket — from the portal if you’re a connected customer, or through your dealer. Tickets carry your system’s history, so nobody starts from zero. Connected devices often tell us what’s wrong before you call: a dry-run trip, a voltage event and a failed sensor all look different in the data, which makes the first visit the right visit.

Water Quality

My water is very hard. What actually helps?

Hardness (dissolved calcium and magnesium) scales geysers, chokes pipes and dulls clothes. The honest sequence: get your water tested first, then treat to the number — a softener for genuine hardness, multigrade filtration for sediment and odour, RO only where dissolved solids demand it (it wastes water, so it should earn its place). We design treatment from your water report, not from a standard package.
