Smart water solutions in Gurugram Tail-end pressure, overdrawn aquifers, monsoon roads underwater

GMDA's canal-fed plants now supply around 770 MLD against demand of about 815 MLD, and the gap lands hardest on tail-end sectors. We help societies store every litre, pump it evenly and keep borewells in check.

From source to your tap

How water reaches you in Gurugram

Gurugram's taps are fed by Yamuna water carried down Haryana's canals to the Basai and Chandu Budhera plants, then pushed by GMDA through master lines to MCG boosting stations. Tail-end pockets like Sushant Lok Phase 2, Sectors 21 to 23 and Dundahera still go days without supply in peak summer, and the aquifer is drawn at more than three times its recharge. Our controllers fill underground tanks the moment water arrives, multi-pump systems hold pressure across condominium towers, RO plants tame high-TDS borewell water, and dewatering pumps keep basements clear when Golf Course Road floods.

  1. Step 1

    Canals from Kakroi

Raw water travels down Haryana's canals, including the 69 km Gurgaon Water Supply Channel from Kakroi on the Delhi Branch and the NCR Channel.

  2. Step 2

    Basai, Chandu Budhera

The two plants treat around 770 MLD, which GMDA sends out through 1,200 mm and 1,300 mm master pipelines.

  3. Step 3

    MCG boosting stations

Boosting stations, from Sector 51 to the new 95 MLD station at Sector 72 for Sectors 58 to 80, lift it into neighbourhood underground tanks and lines.

  4. Step 4

    Your society UGT

Your society's underground tank takes whatever reaches its end of the network, topped up by borewells or tankers, before pumps lift it up each tower.

  5. Where we take over

    Your tank, automated

Sensors read every tank, an APCON controller runs and protects the pump, and the app shows it all on your phone.

Gurugram's water, honestly

What Gurugram throws at your water system, and the fix for each

Tail-end sectors run short

Pressure is weakest at the far end of the network, and a June 2026 ground report named Sectors 21, 22, 23, 54, 55, 57, 59, 63, 70 and 95 and Dundahera village among the worst hit each summer. In Dundahera, residents described water arriving once every three days.

How we fix it

A multi-tank level controller banks every supply window in the underground tank and then fills each tower's overhead tank in turn, so short supply is shared fairly instead of the nearest tower taking it all.

Borewells on borrowed time

CGWB's 2024 assessment puts Gurugram Urban's extraction at about 326% of recharge, and the city's water table sits near 34 m and is still slipping. MCG has proposed shutting 94 of its 581 tubewells by January 2027 where canal supply is adequate.

How we fix it

Our IoT app logs borewell run-hours, sump levels and dry-run trips, so a society can cut borewell use as canal supply improves and keep a clear record of how much it draws.

High TDS and fluoride pockets

Public Health Engineering Department data reported in 2018 showed TDS above 5,000 mg/l at a few places and fluoride up to 5.5 mg/l, with 37 areas near Manesar, Farrukhnagar, Sohna Road and Sohna classed as non-potable. The figures are from 2015–18, so testing your own source comes first.

How we fix it

We test first, then size RO, softening or multigrade filtration to the result; an RO controller watches feed pressure and output quality so a bad borewell week does not wreck the membranes.

Roads that turn into rivers

In July 2025 Gurugram received 133 mm of rain in 12 hours, submerging Golf Course Road and NH-48. Basements, lift pits and pump rooms in low-lying blocks fill just as quickly.

How we fix it

Automatic dewatering pumps with level sensors and motor protection start as soon as water rises in a basement or lift pit, and the IoT app alerts the facility team before cars and electrical panels are at risk.

Foggy winter mornings

Palam, just across the Delhi border, touched 2.3°C on 15 January 2026. When every flat in a tower runs its own electric geyser, a society's winter power load adds up fast.

How we fix it

A central heat pump, or solar backed by a heat pump, gives villas and condominiums hot water for far less energy than resistance geysers, with a controller scheduling heating ahead of the morning rush.

Watch it run

Watch a building in Gurugram run its own water

This is the same diagram our customers see in the app. The sump and the overhead tank are both sensed, and one APCON controller decides when the pump runs.

  • The pump starts when the overhead tank is low, but only if the sump has water to give
  • It stops at your full level, so the tank never overflows
  • Dry run, overload and voltage faults trip it before the motor is damaged
  • Your phone shows each level, each pump run and each alert as it happens

Questions from Gurugram

What people here ask us

Our Gurugram society gets less GMDA water than it needs. How do we stop one tower taking it all?

Bank the supply centrally and distribute it in order. Our multi-tank-level-controller fills the underground tank whenever water arrives, then tops up each tower's overhead tank in sequence using level sensors, wired or wireless LoRa. Every tower gets its share, and nobody has to run up to the terrace to check.

With MCG closing tubewells and groundwater falling, how should a society run its borewell?

Use it as a backup, not the main source, and measure it. A motor-driver with dry-run protection stops the submersible before it sucks air as the water table drops, and our IoT app records run-hours so you can cut extraction as canal supply improves.

Do we need RO in Gurugram, or is a softener enough?

It depends on the source. Canal water from GMDA usually needs only filtration and disinfection, while borewell water in parts of the city has shown high TDS and fluoride, which only RO removes. We test your water and then recommend RO with an RO controller, a softener with multigrade filtration, or both.

Do you install and service Devyami systems in Gurugram?

Yes. Tell us about your building, society or factory and our engineers design the system around Gurugram's water. A Devyami dealer or installer then installs, commissions and services it locally, and every connected controller can be checked remotely through our platform. The first site consultation is free.

Will the automation keep working without internet or after a power cut?

Yes. Level switching, pressure control, schedules and every motor protection run inside the controller on your wall, not in the cloud. The internet only carries the live view and alerts to your phone. The controller keeps its own real-time clock and remembers its delays through a power cut.

Can you automate my existing pumps and tanks without new wiring?

Usually, yes. The APCON Motor Driver takes the old starter panel’s place on the wall, on the pump and tanks you already have. Wireless level sensors reach terrace and underground tanks where running a cable would mean breaking walls. A single-pump retrofit is usually done in a few hours.
