Smart water solutions in Noida Ganga water, hard groundwater, and towers in between

Noida blends around 240 MLD of Ganga water with groundwater from hundreds of tubewells, and when the canal shuts each year the hard water shows. We keep society tanks full, pressure steady and drinking water clean.

How water reaches you in Noida

Noida Authority meets roughly 240 MLD of a 407 MLD requirement with Ganga water treated at Pratap Vihar and Siddharth Vihar, and the rest from about 300 tubewells and 10 ranney wells. When the canal closes for its annual cleaning, TDS in several sectors climbs above 1,000, and some sectors and societies have been cut to half an hour of supply a day. From older sectors like 12 and 22 to the towers of Sector 76 and Noida Extension, we automate storage and pumping, run VFD booster systems for high-rises, and treat hard water before it reaches kitchens and geysers.

  1. Step 1

    Upper Ganga Canal

Ganga water is drawn off the canal system at Masuri-Dasna in Ghaziabad district, about 22 km from Noida.

  2. Step 2

    Pratap Vihar plants

It is treated at plants in Pratap Vihar and Siddharth Vihar; a third 50-cusec Ganga plant at Pratap Vihar sends about three-quarters of its output to Noida sectors such as 122, 133, 134 and 135.

  3. Step 3

    Blended with groundwater

Noida Authority mixes this with water from about 300 tubewells and 10 ranney wells before it flows out to the sectors.

  4. Step 4

    Society tanks

Your society's underground tank receives the blend, and pumps lift it to the overhead tanks of every tower.

  5. Where we take over

    Your tank, automated

Sensors read every tank, an APCON controller runs and protects the pump, and the app shows it all on your phone.

Noida's water, honestly

What Noida throws at your water system, and the fix for each

The month the Ganga stops

The Ganga supply is suspended every year for canal cleaning; in October 2025 the 240 MLD cut lasted about a month and overlapped Diwali and Chhath. The year before, several sectors and group housing societies got only around half an hour of supply a day during Diwali.

How we fix it

Level-based automation fills every underground and overhead tank whenever water flows, at any hour, so the short, irregular supply of the closure weeks is stored rather than missed.

TDS that jumps overnight

Noida's groundwater is hard, which is why Ganga water is used to dilute it; when the canal shuts, TDS in several sectors has climbed above 1,000. Geysers, washing machines and RO membranes take the hit first.

How we fix it

A softener or multigrade filter at the society inlet, with RO at the drinking point and an RO controller tracking output quality, handles the swing between Ganga-blended weeks and groundwater-heavy ones.

Pressure across tall towers

Noida has grown to 168 residential sectors, many of them filled with high-rise group housing. A single pump on a timer cannot hold steady pressure across dozens of floors as demand rises and falls through the day.

How we fix it

A multi-pump controller runs up to six pumps as one system with VFD and PID pressure control, adding pumps as demand climbs and rotating duty so no motor wears out early.

Overdrawn aquifer, closer scrutiny

The Bisrakh block, which covers Greater Noida West, is classed as over-exploited, and the NGT has examined allegations that around 40 builder projects extracted groundwater illegally. Societies that still run borewells need to know exactly how much they draw.

How we fix it

Our IoT app records run-hours and tank levels for every borewell and transfer pump, giving facility managers a clear extraction log and instant alerts on dry runs and overflows.

From 48°C to near 2°C

Noida's summers can push towards 48°C, while January mornings can fall to around 2°C in dense fog. Hot water demand swings as hard as the thermometer.

How we fix it

Heat pumps and solar water heaters cut the winter geyser load for villas, flats and society clubhouses, and a heat-pump controller keeps output steady even on foggy, sunless days.

Through the year

Noida's water, season by season

Summer

Heat pushes towards 48°C and demand climbs, so towers depend on full underground tanks and correctly sized booster pumps.

Dry-run protection and usage alerts →

Monsoon

Noida sits on the floodplain between the Yamuna and the Hindon, so basements and pump rooms in low-lying sectors need dewatering pumps ready.

Dewatering pumps and UV treatment →

Winter

Foggy mornings near 2°C make hot water essential, and the annual Ganga canal closure has fallen around Diwali in recent years.

Watch it run

Watch a building in Noida run its own water

This is the same diagram our customers see in the app. The sump and the overhead tank are both sensed, and one APCON controller decides when the pump runs.

  • The pump starts when the overhead tank is low, but only if the sump has water to give
  • It stops at your full level, so the tank never overflows
  • Dry run, overload and voltage faults trip it before the motor is damaged
  • Your phone shows each level, each pump run and each alert as it happens

Questions from Noida

What people here ask us

How should a Noida society prepare for the annual Ganga water closure?

Make sure every tank fills automatically whenever water flows, day or night. Our multi-tank-level-controller banks supply in the underground tank and then fills each tower's overhead tank in order, and our IoT app alerts the maintenance team if levels fall faster than usual. Add a softener or filter ahead of the closure, because groundwater-heavy weeks bring higher TDS.

Our flat's water reads above 1,000 TDS some weeks. Is RO the answer?

For drinking water, yes, because RO is what brings dissolved solids down. Pair it with an RO controller that tracks pressure and output TDS so you know the membrane is still doing its job. For bathrooms and appliances, a society-level softener protects geysers and fittings without wasting water through RO.

Which pump system keeps pressure steady in a high-rise Noida society?

A multi-pump hydro-pneumatic system with VFD control. Our multi-pump-controller runs up to six pumps as one, holds a set pressure with PID control, and shares duty between pumps, so towers get even pressure at peak hours and the plant keeps running if one motor trips.

Do you install and service Devyami systems in Noida?

Yes. Tell us about your building, society or factory and our engineers design the system around Noida's water. A Devyami dealer or installer then installs, commissions and services it locally, and every connected controller can be checked remotely through our platform. The first site consultation is free.

Will the automation keep working without internet or after a power cut?

Yes. Level switching, pressure control, schedules and every motor protection run inside the controller on your wall, not in the cloud. The internet only carries the live view and alerts to your phone. The controller keeps its own real-time clock and remembers its delays through a power cut.

Can you automate my existing pumps and tanks without new wiring?

Usually, yes. The APCON Motor Driver takes the old starter panel’s place on the wall, on the pump and tanks you already have. Wireless level sensors reach terrace and underground tanks where running a cable would mean breaking walls. A single-pump retrofit is usually done in a few hours.
